Nursing Retirement Party Invitations
Well, I did not intend to wait a year between posts but here I am a year later to the date... hmmm... I am designing party invitations and especially retirement party invitations all year long. But the spring and summer months seem to be the most popular times to have a retirement party. Perhaps because people are inspired by the warm weather to stop working and start traveling/ relaxing/ playing with grandchildren or whatever their dream retirement is! The other day I was asked to make a nursing retirement party invitation for a lady who planned to quilt in her retirement. How fun is that! I love the challenge of such a specific invitation... Here is what I came up with which she absolutely loved! And her question inspired me to make a few less specific nursing retirement invitations. If you have an idea for a retirement party invitation, no matter how specific, let me know. I'd be happy to make one for you. email me at kamyra@mindspring.com.

It is Spring Time! Lots of people are going stir crazy and retirement seems like the perfect solution. This time of year offers a lot of fabulous selections for colorful party invitations.
This time of year is also a very popular time for teachers to announce that they plan to retire. Teacher retirement parties are a lot of fun. Often favorite students and ex-colleagues are invited back to celebrate a successful and fulfilling career. Some teachers may prefer form retirement party invitations. While others may like this retro chalkboard retirement party invitation style. The Chalkboard party invitation is a popular style this year for all sorts of celebration. This style includes the option of adding an apple motif added for and even more teacher look.

During the holiday season, many people take the opportunity to plan a party. Whether they celebrate a religious occasion, a tradition or simply do it because the kids are out of school, December tends to be a popular month for parties.
December is also a popular month to celebrate the retirement of a person who would like to retire before the end of the year. While fishing and camping retirement invitations remain popular throughout the year, often party planners choose to incorporate a holiday theme. Custom created invitations can be changed to add a holiday element to a retirement party invitation.
Another option is to use a holiday invitation and add retirement party wording. An office theme with people in it could be a good choice for this option. A holiday theme adds some excitement. It is suggested that typically a retirement party invitation be sent 2 weeks before the event. However, one that adds a holiday theme is best sent a bit earlier because other holiday parties may conflict. It is best for your guests to receive your retirement party invitation before other holiday invitations.
When planning a retirement party during the holidays, one facet to consider is the drinks that will be offered. This year, eggnog martinis are a popular drink. The ingredients for an eggnog martini are:
2 ounces of dark rum
1/2 ounce of vanilla vodka
1 1/2 ounces of Eggnog
Dash of simple syrup
Crushed graham crackers for garnish
Ice

Retirement Parties are typically celebrated for 62 year old men. However, many woman and younger people are celebrating their retirement these days.
Retirement Party invitations should be as unique as the person being honored. Options include designs that depict the guest of honors profession, or what he plans to do during retirement.
A retirement party is the perfect way to send a loved one into the sunset! And the sunset is full of the most fun they have had in their lives! Beaches, parties, grandchildren, vacations retirement is not just for bums! Although bumming around is another great plan! Retirement parties celebrate years of hard work and dedication. Dedication to family, dedication to earning, dedication to making a good life for him/herself and others. But now it is time to have fun!
So start the fun with a great retirement party invitation. After years of hard work and dedication, its time for a celebration! Before the retiree goes off on permanent vacation, throw him or her a retirement party!

A retirement party can be seen as a beginning or an end. Or maybe it's both. Its the end of the 9 to 5 life, the end of living life for someone else. And the beginning of sleeping in and living life for one's self! To write an invitation certain information is need. The date, time and location of the party and rsvp are essential information. The following is the precise order in which the information should be shown.
|
1. A catchy saying, this section sets the tone for the party. A formal retirement party invitations might say something as simple as:
"The honor of your presence is requested
at a retirement party honoring..."
A less formal retirement party invitation might have a silly saying such as:
We are celebrating and inviting you
join us for a retirement party honoring..."
2.The honoree's name - If there is sufficient room on the invitation, this portion should be larger, some party planners like to put the name in a different font so that it stands out as the most prominent part of the retirement party invitation.
|
3. The date- Most retirement parties take place on a Saturday, however, some occur during or after work. Many party planners like to put the year on the retirement party invitation so that the honoree can save a copy as a keepsake. Others do not put the year on the invitation. Both options are considered acceptable.
4. The time - A start time for the retirement party is a requirement, but the end time is optional.
5. Place - The address of the retirement party is the next section. In the past zipcodes were always used, but now that gps is the most popular way for guests to locate the retirement party, the zipcode is not essential.
6. RSVP - a phone number can be given in this section, but receiving rsvps via e-mail is more convenient these days so it is also used. Since a retirement party invitations is often mailed to guests who are significantly older than the person retiring, it is considerate to offer the option of calling to RSVP.
7. Dress - providing a suggestion for dress is optional. Many guests appreciate this line so that they know how to dress. Often, the style of the invitation lets the guests know the dress code.
